The Friday of July 4th weekend we had no plans. It was hot, I mean REALLY HOT, melt your popsicle in the shade hot, so the kids and I loaded up and went to the Rush City Aquatic Center to cool off. Somehow lounging by the pool on a hot day makes life really enjoyable!
Gabriella loved going down the slide but she wanted someone - namely Kyle or myself - to push her and someone to catch her. This was a little difficult to do when the boys were off swimming and I was by myself so she spent a lot of time going up and down the steps.
In the next few pictures you can see the storm clouds have started to roll in. Later that evening is when the bad storm hit our area, knocking down trees and leaving over 13, 000 homes without power for days.
