A sickly week!

We have spent this week being sick.  Last weekend Gabriella's asthma started acting up and she caught a cold along with it.  One trip to the Pediatric Clinc and one trip to Urgent Care.  Asthma and ear infection.

Kyle's mouth has been sore with his new braces.

And of course Clavin and I both caught Gabriella's cold and we are miserable too.

The only good news is that Kyle left for the weekend to go to Duluth with Uncle Ed.  Great escape Kyle!

Braces!

Nervous anticipation!  That's what Kyle was feeling about getting his braces, and then the long awaited day finally arrived.

Kyle will have braces on both the top and bottom and will wear head gear at night to correct his upper jaw.  They figure he'll have them for about two years.

We are seeing Dr. Videen of Cambridge Orthodontics.  Everyone in the office has been just wonderful!

Kyle was a little sore afterward so we stopped for ice cream at Culver's.  By the time we got home that night his mouth was real sore and the discomfort continued for the next few days.
The last moments braces free.

Real attractive Kyle :)

They're on!

Sledding and winter fun.

The weather was unseasonably warm this weekend so I dressed the kids and put them outside to play.  Kyle is the best big brother in the world and took Gabriella and Jonathan for a sled ride and then sliding down the hill.  Too bad he was the casualty at the bottom of the hill!
Oh what fun!

Back to the top of the hill for another ride down.

I don't think Kyle got the better end of this deal!

Kyle's New Netpad!

Kyle decided to save his money to buy an ipad.  His goal was to get online and at the time he made his decision an ipad was the only thing that would pull Wi-Fi signals off the cell phone towers.  Thankfully that changed and we are now able to get pretty good service by using an air card.  So Kyle's goal was attainable much quicker.

He had saved $280 and was able to buy a netpad.  He bought an Acer 10.1.

I was so proud of him for sticking to his goal and saving his money.  Great job Kyle!
So happy!

Kyle was so proud of himself.  Great job Kyle!

Happy Birthday Aunt Crystal

Aunt Crystal achieved her 76th birthday on February 4th.  We celebrated the following Wednesday by having dinner at The Hole in the Wall Casino in Danbury, Wisconsin.  We ate dinner at the buffet.  There was about 20 of us and we had a great time!

Go Pack Go!

Go Packers!

We would not consider ourselves Green Bay Packer's fans.  But considering the Vikings couldn't find the end zone this season and our neighbors to the east were on a roll we decided to support green and gold for the Super Bowl.

Clavin and I went to the Hole in the Wall Casino in Danbury, WI to watch the game.  We gambled a little, enjoyed the game-time specials in their lounge and cheered on the pack.  Both of us won prizes in the raffle drawing.

You know we weren't allowed to take pictures in the casino but just before we left I asked the security guard to take our picture....  only if he could point the camera toward the doors.  OK, we didn't want to breach security!

Fun night all around!

My Stroller!

I bought a dolly stroller at the Thrift Shop for $1.50.  I knew Gabriella would like it but I had no idea just how much!  She loved the stroller!

We pulled in the driveway and she was putting her bid in to take the stroller in the house.  I unbuckeld her from her car seat and she hopped out got her stroller and headed to the house, right through the snow!

She strolled everything, Dolly, Care B, Care Bear and Ernie.  She pushed miles on that thing in the first evening.

When bedtime came we had to park the stroller by her crib so that she could stroll again right away in the morning.  Sleep did not let her forget... before we could do anything this morning we had to stroll.

Watch out Kyle!

Kyle was enlisted to help fill the stroller whenever Ernie fell out.
